Hi everyone,
When hovering over the Type size tool in Properties panel, I used to be able to scroll through different text sizes and spacing options by clicking and holding over the symbol and moving the mouse left and right; without manually typing in the amount or pressing the downward arrow to select the setting manually. This used to work great, as I could see the change in my text as I made the changes.
This function still works on Photoshop, but is no longer on InDesign. Have I messed up a setting or is this happening to everyone?
Thanks 🙂

Hello @Georgia32657040fad1,
Could you share more details, like the exact version of the OS/InDesign installed, since when you started having this problem, and a small screen recording of your workflow and the problem, so I can better assist you?
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Frankly, I don't remember this option ever being available in InDesign. I've just checked InDesign 2023 and it's not there either. Photoshop does indeed have this functionality for quite some time.

As the expert rightly pointed out, InDesign doesn’t support the same hover-and-drag feature for type size adjustments like Photoshop does. Just to be sure we’re on the same page, could you share a quick screen recording of what you’re trying to do? Also, it would be great if you could provide the InDesign and OS version, and let us know when this started happening. Looking forward to your update!

Do not make manually style overrides, use Paragraph and Character Styles to format your text.
