Hi all,

I'm creating an interactive form in InDesign, which I'm outputting to pdf. The fields are exclusively check boxes. This is not an accessible form. I select all the tabs and then use Object > Interactive > Set Tab Order… to order the checkboxes. The order is all set, I click OK. When I output the pdf, the tabl order is not maintained. I am useing ID 2021 on Big Sur (Mac).

Any insights to what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

What application are you using to check the PDF? Acrobat? Reader? Some other application?

Yes, creating the form in InDesign and filling it in Acrobat.

It's out of order in Acrobat but the order is set correctly in ID. I think I'll just set it up as I would an accessible pdf using the Articles panel. I suspect that will fix the problem. I’ve never had a problem with reading order with my accessible pdfs.

Is there a possibility to post an InDesign with the exported PDF file? It doesn't need to contain your data, if that is confidential. You could build a test case for us.
