Hello, I recently upgrade on a Mac Studio M2 (64Gb) to replace my old imac late 2014.
I thought it will be so fluid with such power on my hand ... fact is working on a simple document with some pictures in indesign is constantly lagging / loading when making simple operation like moving a group of images (jpeg one so very light files). How is it possible ??!! I tried to unsinstall, clean everything (even if I get my new mac one month ago, so it should be fine), nothing changed. It makes me crazy.
Is it due that Adobe CC suite is not adaptated for mac M2 or M1 ? It seems that I'm not the only one concerned by this problem. Should I downgrad my InDesign (latest one 19.0) to older one ? Does it comes from Sonoma ?
Same for lightroom, denoising takes long time to process, It can't be possible for such a machine (or maybe the process is done online so it depends on the ethernet connexion).
If someone can helps, it'll be much appreciated.
Best,

InDesign is not yet certified to work with Sonoma. I wish I could tell you what Adobe and Apple are doing to fix that I have no idea and quite frankly, I don't think they do, either.

Thanks for your reply, such a shame.
Is there a solution or should I downgrade my system to ventura ? If yes, do you know the process, am I obliged to make it using a key storage to restore the old version and backup all my datas ?

I don't know. Again, I wish I could help. I'm just providing facts as I know them. There are known display issues on Sonoma that are "fixed" by turning off the rulers in InDesign. Whether that helps here I don't know but try it and let us know.

Are you kidding me? InDesign is not compatibel with SONOMA?
WOW - I just can't believe how bad both Adobe and Apple are. This is just unbelievable.

Well that was as of November 7, 2023. It did indeed take way longer than expected but macOS 14.3 fixed most InDesign issues for most users.

Hi,
Sorry to hear about the trouble. For information on Adobe Apps compatibility with macOS Sonoma, please check this article.
If you're experiencing any issues with Adobe InDesign, please share a small description of the issue along with the version of InDesign & OS, and we'll try our best to assist.
Thanks
