Indesign text wrap gaps

Hey community, my Indesign is creating huge gaps when I choose text wrap. I know my shape is complex, but I feel there has to be a way to smooth this out.

Can someone help me out?

Bonus question: I'm looking for a way to make words split around the image. Does someone know how to do this too?

TYA!

It's not clear from the screen shot where you want the text to appear. For example, it to appear just in the centre space?

Can you share a sample page with real text that is no wrapping properly?

Hi @Melanie5C45 ,

with InDesign's text wrap there is a maximum number of gaps that is possible where text is actually showing up in the gaps.

If I recall this right, about 5 or 6 gaps. After that, 7 or more gaps, text cannot show up.

Alternative:

Do that with Adobe Illustrator.

( FWIW: We discussed this issue a few years back in the forum. )
