InDesign V16.2.1 Keeps getting FROZEN can't even sut it DOWNEY or FORCE QUIT

SOS HELP PLEASE For the last several months i've been having trouble w InDesign... same isuue over and over: i go to save as\\\... save replace... it will work for a few days then BOOM it FREEZeS. Always same book file... Cannot save nor close the program... only way to get back to work it shutting DOWNEY or restarting the computer. WHY?  thanks Ida Maria Pan - ideale concepts
