InDesign v16.3 - resume from display sleep causes app crash

InDesign crashing on resumption of work after screen sleep.

MacOS 11.4

Screen auto sleeps by MDM policy at 20mins

User comes back after 30mins, sees InDesign has crashed / no longer running

Try this out

Go to Apple menu > System Preferences and click Energy Saver > Deselect the automatic graphics switching checkbox.

Sorry to hear about your experience. In addition to the helpful response shared by Eugene, please try disabling the GPU Performance under Preferences as well & see if it makes any change in the behavior.
Additionally, please try following the troubleshooting steps shared on this community post to fix the unexpected behavior in InDesign.
