InDesign window disappears when not in front

Hi there, 

I have a problem that's driving me crazy. When InDesign 2022 is not the programme in front, the whole window disappears. Sometimes I want to have the programme open and reference an open file whilst looking at other folders, or emails so it disappearing is not helpful.

I found a similar post about Preview not working/disappearing and that it may be the cached files, but the folders it said to check don't appear to be there on my Mac. So any advice on how to rectify this would be appreciated, thank you.

We are sorry to hear you're experiencing an issue with InDesign. We would suggest you, please try opening the InDesign app in safe mode to check if any third-party app is not interfering with InDesign?

Hi there, it seems fine in safe mode. I can't think of any third party apps I use with Adobe or InDesign, other than Adobe Fonts but I don't really use that anyway. The other thing is App Tamer as the CPU on my machine keeps going crazy.

I use Font Book currently as having problems with font managing software.

Any ideas?

Hi there, I think I have figured out the problem and it was a setting in App Tamer. Thanks for your help though.
