Hi there,

I have installed ID card reader and certificates for digital signature, and InDesign stop working..

When I start the app, only splash screen shows and then go "report problem"

Before this, everything worked fine..

- I've uninstalled card reader and deleted certificates

- uninstalled InDesign, installed again

- tried with older version.. same

Nothing..

Anybody have a clue what can be a solution?

Hi,

it looks like you are using Windows 11. Can you confirm the exact version of your software and operating system?

I would recommend you check the Windows error log to locate the instruction that closes InDesign.

Have you tried to uninstall-cleanup-reinstall InDesign?

Try this:

Sign out of CC app and sign back in.

If that doesn't work, then this:

Sign out of CC app

Use Adobe CC Cleaner to remove ID Credentials and InDesign.

Sign back into CC app

Reinstall InDesign.

I tried, but nothing changed

Still crashing on splash screen, when it comes to "Loading shortcuts"

Interesting is that ONLY InDesign is crashing, all other apps working fine

Before you do anything else.

Do you have a 3rd party anti-virus software installed? If so, disable it.

Have you tried a new user account on that computer? If not, do so.

If you're running any 3rd party plugins such as a font autoactivation plugin, disable it.
