Hallo All,

For my term paper, I should choose the font Art Arial, size 11 with a line spacing of 1.5 and margins of 2.5  cm.

There are multiple ways to do this, but this will get you started. Apologies for the delay in answering your question.

Character panel (Window menu) or Control panel for Type tool:

Typeface: Arial

Typesize: 11 pts

Leading (line spacing): typesize plus half as much again. Try somewhere between 16-18 points.

New dialog (File > New):

Default is in picas. Type the unit of measurement: "2.5 cm".

Or change the units from picas to cm.

'1,5' is a typical Word processor term, lines pacing 1, 1,5 or 2. Those do not exist in real typesetting, here you work with points, so your type can be 11 pt, line spacing (or 'leading') 13 pt for instance. My advice would really be: if your knowledge of InDesign is (very very) limited you will be better of using MS Word...
