InDesignProblem Update

Hi Community,

seit dem Update auf Version 19.0, schließt InDesign sofort wieder nachdem ich es starte. Bisheriger workaround Version deinstallieren, ggf. ältere Version installieren.

MacBook Pro 2021, M1 Pro, macOS: Ventura 13.2.1

Oliver

I've moved your post from Using the Community to the InDesign forum for you.

Have you tried resetting Preferences?

There's been various reports around issues with 19.0 - but this one seems new to me.

You can try

Try resetting your preferences:

Windows: Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
macOS: While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
A dialog will appear asking to delete the InDesign Preferences, select 'Yes' on this dialog.

Reinstalling rarely fixes everything - you can do a complete reinstall using the

Thank you Eugene, it seems to have worked. If it stays this way after shutting down and rebooting that's perfect.

Best regards

Oliver

In addition to all that's been advised, make sure to update to the latest version of Ventura (13.6) or you can keep running into the same or other issues. Just don't upgrade to macOS 14 Sonoma as it's not officially supported yet.
