Insert pages within document where all pages are threaded together

When I try to insert 10 pages in a 100 page document, it messes up. I'm writing a Workbook. The 100 pages are threaded (text frame this is) and I want to insert 10 pages after page 60. No matter what I do the threading gets messed up as well as the rest of my document. 

Any advice?

Are you using Acrobat? It sounds like you're talking about InDesign...
