Hey, I'm having issues with my interactive buttons. Set up the buttons as Go to Destination. When I publish online the buttons work perfectly, however when I export the InDesign file as an Interactive PDF, the buttons don't work. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue, please? Thanks!

I've moved your post from Using the Community to InDesign.

Are you using Adobe Acrobat to view the PDF — or another PDF viewer?

Do you see anything in Acrobat when you use the Prepare a Form tool and examine the Properties of the fields?

The attached is what I see when I prepare a form. I've this design template so many times and for some reason the interactive buttons have stopped working in this PDF. Very strange.

Since you've used this template successfully many times, it is very strange. For testing purposes, can you copy and paste a couple of field to a new PDF document to see if they work outside of the template? (You need to be in the Prepare a Form tool to copy and paste.)

PDF is a different format to InDesign's Publish Online, which is based on HTML5.

You can only use simple hyperlinks in an Interactive PDF, such as a word or words or a shape such as an image. Don't use roll-over buttons, they won't work on smart phones and tablets.

Thanks, Derek. I've used Bookmarks as usual and not viewing on iPad or Mobile. Only on Desktop.

I replied, assuming the PDF is to be distributed to other users where you can't specify what PDF viewer they may use. If you have a closed system that might change the spec.
