Is it possible to create a template of styles?

I'm formatting a trilogy and want all the books set up the same way. I have the template for the margins and whatnot, that's easy. Is it possible to set up a template that also contains all of the paragraph and characters styles as well? Or do I have to go through and set them up again with each book?

Sure. You can create a template with everything you need for formatting and base the new books on that template.

Well, one option would be to just complete the layout on the first book, setting up all of the formatting along the way.
When it is finished, remove the content and save a copy of that file as the template.
