Is there a script to fine tune the table height for bottom alignment?

I use the minimum row height.

The table is always that far off and fails to align to the bottom of the type area. It's more likely to happen with different content on each row.

Is it possible to set the increment in the table panel? It seems the default is 1mm, which is not very controllable.

It would be great if you could make minor adjustments to align the bottom in one go.
If you are only adjusting certain rows, you need to select those rows.
If you only adjust the table on the current page where the cursor is, you don't need to select it.

Perhaps the easiest thing to control when you're using grid typography is row height.

If you put the table in a separate frame, you could set the Cmd/Ctrl+B Text frame options to align to the bottom. Don't use any baseline grid lock. And I always use Cell and Table Styles to dress the table.

Hi Mike Witherell

Hi Robert at ID-Tasker

What I hope is that it can be fine-tuned.
Right now the increment is 1mm and uncontrollable.
I was hoping it could be 0.1 or 0.01mm increments.

@dublove

Vertical location of anything on the text - beside the Anchored Objects - is the sum of Leading and Space Before and After.

If you don't make it "repeatable" - you'll always end up with misalignments - that's why there is Align to Grid.

@dublove

If you don't use Align To Baseline Grid - and you havent defined your Styles correctly - Point Size that adds correctly - then you'll NEVER have it aligned.

On stackoverflow.com there is a script posted that seems to do what you want. Note, check the automated version of script posted at the bottom of thread. And, I have not tested either of the scripts. Link to page.

Thank you.

It seems that the script is not working.
Actually, I just want to fine tune the top and bottom edges to be empty by 0.1mm.
For some reason Adobe doesn't have this option, it only allows 1mm at a time.
This is obviously not very practical.
