When saving and attempting to export as pdf, I'm getting the following error message. I've ensured the preflight panel was 'no errors' or green. This has happened onsite, when connected to the internal network as well as working remotely connecting to VPN.
This kind of message seems to be related to various cloud volumes (e.g. OneDrive). Are the images downloaded (online) or is there only an alias on the local computer. Read/write privileges may also be a problem. You seem to be on windows make sure the files are not linked to a zipped folder. Make sure you have enough free space on the volume you are trying to save the file on.

Are you able to export a pdf when all of the elements of the InDesign file reside locally on your computer? What version of InDesign and what operating system are you using? Has this problem just started occurring after an upgrade of your InDesign or operating system? If so check with your network administrator to make sure that the network software has been updated to be compatible with the latest versions. Many times networks don't get updated until the anti-virus and firewall software has also been updated. The timing of that does not usually coincide with program and OS updates.

Hi Clara,
Sorry to hear about your experience. I agree with earlier response shared by Lukas.
If you could share the information asked by Bill, it'd help us assist you better.
In my opinion, please check if you have these linked files saved on a server. There may be issue with the permissions. Try copying these files on a local drive and try to export the PDF.
You may also try saving the file as IDML and then try to export.
Let us know if it helps.
Regards,
Ashutosh
