Issues with Arabic text in InDesign

New Here ,
Feb 25, 2025 Feb 25, 2025

I have an Arabic document to lay out in InDesign. I've set the language to Arabic, so it should automatically typeset the content from right to left. However, when I paste the text into the document, it is laid out left to right so it doesn't make sense.

Has anyone found a workaround for this bug?

Yep I've done all this and it works now.
- installed MENA version of InDesign

- set the paragraph to World Ready Composer

I do feel like there shouldn't be so many steps for language handling...

You need to install the ME version

And make sure you set the paragraph composer to World Ready Composer.

@Catherine_Spinks7146

Only if you've installed MENA version - did you?
