Issues with consistency of proportional old style numerals

Community Beginner ,

For some reason this happens to me often... the characters will be inconsistently in proportional oldstyle. Any suggestions?

The screenshot comes from a French version, but I think you will be able to find the English equivalent.

Hi @Rachel.b.Jackson,

Thanks for reaching out! Could you share which version of InDesign you're using and your operating system details? Also, does this happen with all fonts or just a specific one? And is it affecting all documents or only one?

After setting Proportional Oldstyle, does the setting change automatically, or does it stay as applied? Could you describe the issue a bit more?

Looking forward to your update!

Moreover, leaving the discussion open for more insights from the experts.

Thank you!

This has happened in multiple documents and fonts.

I am suing the most recent version of InDesign, in the Middle East version (sometimes this has caused issues, but the language for this paragraph setting is set to English).

Changing it to proportional oldstyle does change all of the numerals except when there are 3 digits, it doesn't apply to the last one. So strange.

Thank you! The issue is that when I do that, it ruins any right-to-left text in the paragraph (i.e. converts it to left-to-right). Is there anything else I can do to fix this?
