I can't add symbols like !, @, #, $, or % afterwords. The text font shrinks when I press Shift + 1 for an exclamation mark. The same occurs with other Shift + symbols.

What do you mean by "shrinks"? Please post a screenshot.

What font - does it have those glyphs?

Hello @K-Ten

Sorry to hear that you are unable to add special characters to your InDesign files. We are unable to reproduce the issue at our end. In addition to what our expert has requested, would you mind sharing few more details about the issue?

1. Is it happening with a single file or all InDesign files?

2. What version of InDesign you are using?  Please share the details of your Operating System.

We will try our best to get this issue resolved for you.

Thanks,

Abhishek Rao

Check if these shortcuts are assigned to Paragraph or Character styles by any chance. Although it would be bizarre if all of them happened to be assigned to various styles.

That's where I went with this question, too, @leo.r, unlikely as it seems.

@K-Ten, is this happening in one file, or all files?

Hi @K-Ten ,

hm, are there GREP styles applied to the paragraph or the applied paragraph style that applies a character style that shrinks the characters?
