It's 2022. It's well beyond time for InDesign Actions

Can we please get action functionality in InDesign like Photoshop/Illustrator has? I'm so tired of repeating the same exact things over the course of hundreds of documents. A simple record and playback button would be tremendous.

In the meantime, this is a scripting forum, ExtendScript is a very powerful tool, and there are people here (not necessarily me) who can use it to make InDesign stand up on its hind legs and sing.  Try telling us about the actions you want to repeat.
