Jpeg Clipping Paths not working with inDesign 2026

I am having issues importing jpegs with clipping paths in inDesign 2026.

Normally when i import these files in inDesign 2025 they would automatically clip the jpeg for me, but when I drop these images into 2026 they keep their white backgrounds. I have tried using the import dialogue box, and when showing additioanl options, the photoshop clipping path option is greyed out. I have tried images that worked in the 2025 program so I know it's not an issue with the images. I have also tried using the automatic clipping path but it doesnt recognise the path and is not perfect.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and can fix this? I know I can export images from photoshop as png's, but I have a lot of images and dont want to crop and export them again.

Thanks in advance

The clipping path is still working for me. Created an image in PS 2026. Created clipping path. Called out path as "clipping path" in photoshop. Placed in ID 2026 and the item is clipped.

I forgot to label it as a clipping path.

Thanks!
