Just the script to make the image fit to type area or column isn't available either?

With Object Styles you can set position, width and more.

The width and height are fixed in the object style.
It is not possible to make the height scale proportionally with the width.

You set the width and fit options.

The width control in the object style is in the form of “Only”.
Fitting the framework doesn't happen all at once.
Also, image fit, zoom in and zoom out are two different cases.

I found this, can someone help modify it to fit the width to the column width, and to fit the typearea.

What a useful skill, but there is no response from the gods, for the benefit of thousands of working people.
I hope Adobe will come with this feature someday.
