in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

You mean those darker horizontal lines?

Am I right, that you work on a Mac? I'm pretty sure there were some posts in the past.

I'll try to find them.

Hi @Rayen36694238trss,

Thanks for reaching out! To assist you better, could you please confirm your InDesign version and details of your operating system? Also, try checking the 'Hide Guides' option by going to View > Grids and Guides > Hide Guides. If the lines still appear in the exported PDF or print, it might help to reset your preferences to rule out any glitches. Reference: https://adobe.ly/4k9J47h, just be sure to back up your preferences before resetting.

If possible, please share a screen recording showing your entire workflow until the guides appear in the PDF, so I can take a closer look with the team. Additionally, if you could share a sample affected document for us to test, that would be really helpful. You can upload it to any public cloud service like Google Drive or Dropbox and share the downloadable link here. If the file is confidential, please feel free to share it via DM on the community.

Also, please refer to this article for printing best practices: Print documents in InDesign

Looking forward to your update.

Abhishek

Hi @Rayen36694238trss,

Thanks so much for sharing the video. It really helped clarify what's happening.

From what I can see, this looks like a common display glitch on Windows when working with transparency. To reduce or avoid the issue, try going to Edit > Preferences > Display Performance, and under Default View, set it to Fast. You can also do this from the top menu via View > Display Performance > Fast Display.

When exporting your file, try using the PDF/X-4 preset and go to the Advanced tab to set the Transparency Flattener Preset to High Resolution.

Let me know if that helps. Also, please share your InDesign version so I can pass it along to the team for further review if needed.

Looking forward to your update.

Abhishek
