We're having real problems with the latest version of Indesign.
The main issue is display tearing when the layout is moved - even slightly.
Elements will step accross the sceen, split, compress and pixelate. This make working on documents impossible.
We're running brand new MacPro (cheesegrater) towers with Radeon Pro W5700Xx GPUs - so it's not as if we're lacking processing power.

Try unticking GPU Performance, found under GPU Performance in InDesign preferences.
