Letters ‘ru’ in word changes in ‘Ê’

Hi, in Indesign, when I type the word ‘virus’, the ‘ru’ changes in ‘Ê’. And I can’t find a way to prevent this from happening.

does anyone know what to do?

The strange thing is that it doesn't happen with another font; andi changed the language to Dutch, but that didn't help either

You may also need to check the default language assigned to text, though I think Eugene is most likely correct.

Did you check the keyboard setting of you computer?
