Hello guys

I'm working on a data merge document. Where I put all my images throught a txt files. In the same document I insert a livecaption with the name of a images.

In preview mode the live captions seems to work, but in data merge export it doesn't...

I have linked you a video to explain better my settings

What happens if you generate an InDesign file instead of going direct to PDF?
I know it's an extra step.

Instead of Live Caption

Could you potentially use Text Variables and insert the image name in a Text Variable (this may very well be the exact same thing as a Live Caption ... I'm not sure I've never tried before... but why would there be 2 places to do the same thing, in my mind they should behave differently, maybe?)

And if you a Database of images for the merge - couldn't you just add another column for the image name and insert that as a Data Merge field instead?

Just a few thoughts.
