Lock InDesign files while using Google Drive Stream

We are looking into moving to the cloud on Google Workspace.

Can we lock the InDesign files when using Google Shared Drive Streaming?

No and quite frankly of all the cloud services, this is the last one I'd use. Dropbox and OneDrive are better choices but the lock files still won't sync on any of them. Communication is the key.
