InDesign runs poorly with Rosetta2 which tries to translate Intel to M1. It was probably never tested. Adobe is not providing support for Rosetta2 because the M1 chip is not supported. To see what' happening with Adobe applications with the M1 chip, view this tech note and check back for further information:

NOOOO! It doesn't work well at all. I literally have to use my partner's intel mac to do work in InDesign. On my new M1 it just crashes and hangs every couple minutes, it's truly unusable.

Thanks, Shannonc24178.

Have you heard of any upgrades that may be coming for the M1?
