Hello everyone,

I just replaced my laptop MacBook Pro (2014) with the new one MacBook Pro 2021 (M1 Pro) and I'm not able to open the old file created.. I have same version of InDesign installed in both systems. The error the appears is:
"unable to open the file "xxxxxx.indd" . It is possible that Adobe Indesign doesn't support this format file, some plug-in is missing or the file is actually opened by another application".
Obiously nothing of the previous situation is present.

Someone may help me?

How did you move the files to the new machine? Are you working from a cloud service such as Dropbox or OneDrive? If so, make sure to turn off any smart sync feature so that your files are stored locally instead of forcing a download on demand.
