Margins not synchronizing in Book docs

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to set up a Book so that if I change the margin in the Style Source, the margins update in any other doc I synchronize.

I've turned on Master Pages (sorry, haven't updated yet) in Synchronize Options as well as checking Adjust Layout in the Margins and Columns.

Is there something I'm missing here?

thanks

Do I understand that you changed the margins on the Master Page in the Style Source, but when you synchronize, the new margins are not being applied to the corresponding master pages in the other book documents?

Can you post what version of ID and your OS you have? Also (just to check the obvious), you are selecting the chapters in the book window and not just the primary chapter when you sync, right?

Well - they were when I created them, but when I make a change to the Style Source document, they no longer are identical...

Also, I've just found that additional Masters are not being added to my synchronized document.

Since you said "tech support 101", I was going to ask if the computer was plugged in... šŸ˜‰

Seriously, sometimes restarting InDesign and, if necessary, shutting down/restarting the computer can work wonders for solving problems.
