Missing Information in a Chart???

New Here ,
Mar 21, 2023 Mar 21, 2023

When one person on my team creates a chart, manually fills it with content, and saves and exits the document, the information from the chart is not there when another person opens it. (It appears as a blank chart.) However, as long as the second person closes without saving, that chart appears "filled in" when the original file creator opens the document back up. WHY!?!?!

Sometimes graphics blank out on my screen. When that happens, I zoom out one step. Then zoom in one step. This is my habit for triggering a screen redraw, and usually the graphics "redraw" to the refreshed screen. Have you experimented to rule that one out?

What file type is the chart?

Where it is saved? On the same place as the INDD file or on a different place?

Chart? InDesign does not have a charting feature so you're going to have to give us more detail. Screenshots might help.
