Hi, I'm looking to modify the place PDF script so that it EITHER places the pdf page at the bleed OR is places every page with a precise offset.
I tried modifying the below lines with a unit of measurement, not knowing if this is a correct place to edit at all. It doesn't seem to work. Is the script defaulting to a 0,0 position without any actual reference to the location within the script?
myInDesign.PDFPlacePreferences.PageNumber = myCounter
Set myPDFPage = myDocument.Pages.Item(-1).Place(myFileName, Array(-0p9, -0p9))
Set myPDFPage = myPDFPage.Item(1)

Take a look at the ID-MultiPageImporter script as an alternative, it has the options you're looking for.
Not only does it work for placing PDF's it also works for InDesign and Illustrator files as well.

Not only does it work for placing PDF's it also works for InDesign and Illustrator files as well.

connorhughes, how did you get this to work in Indd?
I added the latest script here: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign 2021\Scripts\Scripts Panel
And accessed it from within Indd, but when I double-click the script to select my PDF, I just get the blue spinning wheel forever.
System: PC x64
InDesign version: 16.2.1 x64

I just ran ExtendScript Toolkit on it and an error was thrown (see below). Maybe that's it? If so, can someone tell me how to fix/change? I don't code scripts.

I'm not sure what the error is youre getting, it seems were running the same version of indd. Though my install path of the script is different I assume youre running the script from the script panel so it shouldnt make a difference.
I will say you should be running this on a indd file and not a pdf. the indd file can be open already, I've never tried running it with no file running (I used this script years ago and stopped using indd for a while and lost it).

Thanks for the quick reply. I have resolved the issue, but not how I thought I would.
NOTE: PDF is over 400 pages of different page sizes and orientations.
Here are the steps I took:
Assumption: the error was in the format of the PDF somehow, whether they 'cobbled' together the pages, or saved the file in a non-Acrobat application.

the actual version of the MultiPageImporter script now is 2.6.4. Here is an overview of the releases:

Always watch this place for new and bug-fix versions.
So I'd suggest you are trying version 2.6.4 where the target statement at the beginning was removed.
We've seen this as a solution to issues where the script just does nothing when two concurrent versions of InDesign were launched at the same time and also, in one case, with a new Mac with a M1 processor where InDesign 16.3.2 is running in native mode.
