Hi,
First, I have a new MacBook Pro running Mojave 10.14.3 and I am running InDesign CC 2019.
When I open an existing document, they are all saying that half or more of the links are modified and need to be refreshed. This is a problem because none of the links have been recently modified and also,
"Preserve Image Dimensions When Relinking", the file handling preference, is just flat not working. Files that have not changed shape are consistently needing adjustment when being relinked. It's like the properties just go totally wonky every time any edit to a file is made. I have to take a screenshot of my X/Y W/H settings and type them back in manually to get back to where the previous file was located with accuracy.
I do not have Universal Type Client and recognize there is a similar issue with this.
I've experienced more problems than ever before in running this version of InDD on this machine. I have feared for 100+ page documents sent to print over having photo export issues or disappearing text and this has seriously haunted my dreams.
Thanks very much in advance for your help.

I can hardly believe that not one administrator responded to my issue from 3/15. The Adobe Help Center literally only leads you here to the forum for InDesign technical support. Just been so frustrated and disappointed lately and it feels like literally no one at Adobe cares.

I have the exact same problem with Indesign 14.0.1. Super frustrating!

I am currently trying to find a solution for InDesign 2022, Preserve Image Dimensions Issue with Modified Links. (Running Mac OS Monterey 12.5)
InDesign 2022 appears to contain a new obscure image dimension trap; the option to fix still does not work...
Pref ā File Handling ā Preserve Image Dimensions When Linking.
and the previous fix for InDesign 2019 running on Mojave OS, as was the fix
Pref ā General ā Deselect Make Content Aware.
Now, nothing fixes it.
I chatted to Sandip on Adobe Help Chat, and he tried to blame working from a 3rd party remote server, NOT Adobe Cloud, as preferred!!! (excuse me?)
This isn't the case either as I am working with other designers on the same remote server on InDesign CC2022. Unable to roll back to Indesign 2022 for version incompatibility.
Does anyone else have any suggestions on how to fix it this time?
