Moving pages going awry

New Here ,

I'm trying to move pages from one doc to another. They were originally in the same file, so all masters and stylesheets match. Why are the moved pages resizing and losing text?

Maybe it will be easier if you duplicate your file and remove unnecessary pages?

Use this method for moving pages. Choose Layout > Pages > Move Pages and select the file you're moving them into. That should leave the pages intact when moved:

That's what I did. They messed up in the move.

It could mess up if either the source document you're moving from or the destination document you're moving to are corrupted.

You could try saving one or both by choosing File > Save As > InDesign CS4 (or later) (IDML). Open the IDML file it creates in InDesign and see if it works then.
