Hi there,
I am really struggling to embed a .mp4 video file into an interactive pdf. I am using the latest version of inDesign CC and Acrobat Pro DC.
I have four .mp4 video files in my interactive pdf; all work well except one. All video files preview well with good quality and sound in the EPUB interactivity preview window in inDesign. However, when I export the file as an interactive pdf and open the interactive pdf, the problem occurs. One of the videos blanks out as a black screen and the video doesn't play. All other .mp4 videos play. I've tried to re-export this one 'problem' video file into a FLV format, but the problem persists. I've looked at the specs and I don't see why it's causing this problem because the file plays nicely on my mac.
Please help me sort this out. It's highly frustrating!
Thanks in advance
Thank you for your help!
I tried Media Encoder and the file still had problems. I however managed to figure out the problem differently. I just opened up the edit options in Acrobat and added a link to the video in the exported pdf.

Still, 6 years later and it's the truth. You're wasting your time with comments such as this and trying to place video in a PDF.

I must be wasting my time paying for a subscription to a service that can't do such a basic task.

About as basic as using a hammer to cut a board in two.

Adobe Media Encoder CC is included with your subscription. See if you can re-encode it there to make it work. Sometimes having a different application re-create the file will fix the problem.

EPUB preview has ZERO to do with PDF. I'd go with Steve's suggestion first.

It would be worth testing in PDF readers other than Acrobat.
