My InDesign is not working- I've tried multiple versions

Hi all, 

I'm trying to make a professional artistic cv using InDesign and it's not working. I have tried the oldest version available 19.0, as well as the 2024, and 2025 versions of the app and the same problem persists with all of them. A couple of seconds after launching an action, it buffers and invites me to force quit the app. I have also tried resetting the app. No other Adobe app has similar issues and I'm confused why InDesign would differ?

I wanted to check in and see if you're still experiencing issues with InDesign. Were you able to try the suggestions provided by the experts in the thread? If so, did any of them help resolve the problem?

If the issue persists, could you confirm whether you receive the Adobe Crash Reporter dialog box when the application crashes? If so, were you able to submit the crash report? If you have submitted it, please share the email address used while submitting via DM on the Community so I can check the logs. Reference: https://adobe.ly/417SmIA
Additionally, does the crash occur at launch, or only after performing a specific action? If it's crashing at launch, I recommend following the troubleshooting steps outlined in this article: https://adobe.ly/4k7DbHM.

Notice the detail about rolling back a recent small Windows 11 patch. This one is afflicting all Windows 11 users the last couple of weeks. This one is Windows Update > Update History >  update KB5050094. If this is installed, then uninstall it. You are not rolling back the entire Windows 24H2; just the KB5050094 patch. Go to Windows Update > Update History > Uninstall Update and find just the update KB5050094 and uninstall it.
