No option to apply master or parent page to even or odd pages

Hi,
I don't understand why, but there is no option to select even or odd pages when applying a master or parent page.
This is frustrating when I've imported a supplied 378pp PDF, all in single pages with bleed all round, and I have to apply a visual overlay. I cannot simply just create a master spread and apply that because of the bleed on the spine (also, bleed on spine is required). So I have individually click on EVERY SINGLE even or odd page and apply the required master that way or type in "2,4,6,8,10..etc" in the drop menu in image below. This is too tedious and time consuming. This process would be much faster if we were given an option to select odd or even pages in the drop menu in the image below.

Put in a feature request and post it here. I'd vote for it. When I googled this problem, I found a post somewhere in which a person talked of using a number  generator web site to generate a list of odd numbers to then apply into the "apply parent to pages" dialogue box. Worked well for me.

Just to follow up on davecourtemanche's suggestion you can log your feature request at: https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601021-adobe-indesign-feature-requests. I would also vote for it.
