None of my tags I created in Paragraph Styles in are exporting to Acrobat for my accessible PDF

I've created a 1 page document and created paragraph styles that included the "Export Tagging" option, and then I selected the corresponding tags for each paragraph style.

When I export the PDF, none of the tags are exported in Acrobat Pro. I export the PDF and have the "Create Tagged PDF" box selected, and my PDF is exported with no tags.

When I try and auto tag the document in Acrobat, it only tags the hyperlinks and a couple of the figures.

What can I do so that it recognizes my tags from InDesign, so I don't have to manually tag everything in Acrobat?

There are HTML/EPUB tags in the export tags dialog in the Paragraph Style definition window and PDF tags at the bottom: are you sure you set them at the right place? Or if you used the Export tagging from the fly out menu from the Paragraph Styles panel to do all in one go from the list, the same question: did you use PDF, the second option?

Yes, I've chosen the PDF option in both areas.

Just in case - do you export Print PDF or Interactive PDF?

I've tried both and neither will give me any tags even though I have "create tagged pdf" checked.

Did you use the Articles Panel?

If so, are you sure that every single element in your layout was dragged into the Articles Panel? Any elements NOT in the Articles Panel end up untagged in the exported PDF.

It's just one of the sweet features of that *&^%$#@!  panel: it's all or nothing. Either don't use it at all (there's no requirements to use it, and our shop rarely uses it for small, short documents). Or you must use it for everything in the document.

No, I didn't use the articles panel, but thank you for the heads up. I'm really new to creating accesible PDFs, so I have a lot to learn.

I ended up having to copy and paste every layer over to a new document, and now the tags are exporting. Somebody I was working with said my file was exporting as an image which is why it wasn't exporting the tags. If anyone happens to know what setting would be causing that, please let me know, because I would hate to have this happen to a multi-page document.
