Numbering paused incrementally for a few pages until told to continue

Hi, hope you one can help. We have a document which has a small section where the numbering needs to pause. We would normally run up a new decimal ie 4.1.1 ect for these pages.. But in this case, it was a document handed to us, so was wondering if its possible to continue the way below (The bold will be used for TOCs)

We have a style applied to the section, headers and subheads:

Multi Level Lists 2

Mode: Continue from previous

[tick] Any Previous Level

4.1 Hero 1
4.1 How to use Hero 1
4.1 How not to use Hero 1
4.2 Hero 2
4.2 How to use Hero 1
4.2 How not to use Hero 1

4.3 Next section

Any help or links would be really great. Thanks
