I have set up a masterpage for use in a long report containing hundreds of tables and diagrams. I have used fitting options to have the object ( diagram placed from a pdf) size proportionally at a click when placing the object. This workes fine, but the dotted frame (from the master) disappear. If I for some reason need to go back, I have no placeholder to reference my object. I cannot find how to make it reappear? If I try to reapply the masterpage again, the placed object disappear and I have to place it again from start (Ctrl+D).
Is there an answer to this, or do I just have to adjust my "workflow" to overcome this problem? The aim is to place very many diagrams without having to manually adjust/size them all.
Thanks
Yes, I'm using layers, but cannot figure out this based on "layer settings". I have found a workaround, though - setting two frames in the master with a really small gap between. Placing the table in the inner frame makes that frame disappear, but the outer frame stays visible. I now have my placeholder.

Andre,
Are you controlling these frames by means of an Object Style?

Hi @geir-andré_7279 , Are you using Layers to set up your masters? When you release a master page item it becomes a page item, which is at the top of its Layer. For that reason using Layers for organizing stacking order can be a good practice
