Hi Experts,
After exporting to epub (fixed layout) and run on epub reader, when i click on Next button on Page 4, it will navigate to Page 6. Likewise for Back button, suppose it should go to Page 3, it went to Page 1. I had 54 pages of documents, all page links are fine except for 1 or 2 pages.
I'm 100% confirmed that there is no error in page linking as i had ran it under preview before exporting.
Regards,
Jeslene

How is your document set up? Is it facing pages and exported as one landscape page?

Hi Bob,
My document is setup as:
intent: web
facing pages: no
start page: 1
num of pages: 54
orientation: landscape
I just discovered that those pages having skipped page issue are from
E.g
(Next button)
Page 23 (Master-B) to Page 24 (Master-A)
Page 39 (Master-B) to Page 40 (Master-A)
Note: It did move from page 23 to 24 (24 just flash for < 2 seconds and end up in page 25)
Thanks,
Jeslene

Which epub reader?
Have you tried publishing it to Publish Online?

Hi Bob,
The epub reader is from government agency, not readily available. I had solved the issue by just having 1 master. The navigation controls (Back and Next), i replicated in every page. The above issue is not happening when running in azardi and adobe digital epub reader.
Thanks,
Jeslene

Sounds like a possible bug in that reader.

Hi Bob,
Just found out something and like to share here. ACTUALLY it has nothing to do with using 2 Masters among the pages.
The page got skipped if i set Go-to-page at on_click event. If i set Go-to_page at on_release/tap event, then the page skip issue will not occur. Not sure why this is happening.
Thanks.
Jeslene

You should always use tap/release. Click doesn’t work on touch devices.

Hello there,
I created an interactive PDF with page buttons/arrows and am suffering the every other page (1,3,5,7) (next and previous) issue when exporting as an interactive PDF. Have spent way too much time trying to resolve and cannot seem to fix it. MAC/Montery 12.6/Indesign 17.4
Facing pages, no.
Tap/release, yes
Several Master pages as spreads as this started as a magazine for print.
Thank you for anything you can suggest.
Anne

Hi @annegramsch ,
this thread is about Fixed Layout EPUB and not Interactive PDF.
Please open a new thread with your issue.
Thanks,
