Select the paragraph (place your cursor somewhere in the paragraph, or for multiple paragraphs select (part of) the text of the paragraphs, then hold down Alt and Shift and click on the paragraph style. This will remove all local formatting. Don’t confuse paragraph styles and character styles by the way 😉

We need way more information.

What version of InDesign? What operating system? One file or all files?

Hi haneadino ,

if you want to remove all overrides on text you could also use TEXT or GREP Find/Change.

Simply search for your applied paragraph style and replace it with the same paragraph style.

Note: Applied character styles will not be removed with this by default. Just local overrides.

If you want to remove also applied character styles with that method you have to apply the [None] character style in the change field as well.

Regards,
Uwe

Sorry, but  my paragraph style does not work good today? Why does this happen more and more? It has worked great for several years, but now the last months I have almost always problem now with my paragraph style? What to do? and it seems that it is not every time it works with your solution: "Select the paragraph (place your cursor somewhere in the paragraph, or for multiple paragraphs select (part of) the text of the paragraphs, then hold down Alt and Shift and click on the paragraph style. This will remove all local formatting. Don’t confuse paragraph styles and character styles by the way ;-)"

Select your text and look at the Character Style pallet. Any applied Character Styles will override the Paragraph Style.

Hi. There is a problem with this, because the italics become regular. This solution is unfeasible for a text with many pages and lots of italics.
