Hi everyone,

I have a document that has author information that comes before the article title:

-------------------------

Author Name

Info

Info

Article Title

-------------------------

Sometimes, there is more info, sometimes less.

However - without using a separate frame - is there a way to tell the Article Title style to always start at a specified distance from the top of the frame?

thanks!

You could try a couple of methods:

  • Create two linked text frames (you can put them on the parent/master page and override them as needed)
  • Use a large baseline grid setting for the article title style (but not the other styles)

Thanks!

Was hoping to avoid doing it using these techniques, but i think trying it out with Baselines makes sense.

Hi turner111,

would it work for you if you add a table with one single cell?

In this cell goes "Author Name" and "Info".

The text in the cell aligns to the bottom of the cell.

That's a property of the cell.

The cell has a fixed height.

After the table the "Article Title" starts followed by the main text after the title.
