PDF Interactivity error - Go to destination - Prompting an error

I have to create a PDF with a lot of linking to different sections in the document. When trying to link to bookmarks within the file I keep getting an error that reads, Cannot open the document "DBTmp218563218461526187" you may not have permission or the document may already be open.

It then removes any of the links that were alreadys set up and working. It doesn't seem to effect roll over interactivity. I wondered if it was an issue with bookmarks generated by the TOC so I did them manually but it's still struggling.

I tried uninstalling InDesign but unfortunately the error is still coming up. I'm looking for a fix as Interacticity is integral to this document.

You can try saving as IDML and then open this file to see if this may have cleaned up any corruption within the file.

Thank you for getting back to me - Saving it as an IDML and trying a new document seemed to let me continue for a little while until the error reappeared but it at least helped me get the linking done in time for the submission deadline.

Are you able to make bookmarks like this in a brand new file? Or is this error limited to just this one file? If you can't make bookmarks at all I'm any file, you should try to reset your preferences. If it's this this one file that generates this error, you could try to resolve potential document corruption by exporting an IDML file, then opening that file and resaving before trying to make another bookmark.

Thank you for you input. I tried moving a new file, which seemed to let me continue for a little while until the error reappeared but saving as an IDML and resetting preferences would give me a window to set up the links before it the error would kick off again and at least helped me get the linking done in time for the submission deadline. I appreciate the help.
