I can't find this script anywhere. I have followed all the links (Indesign Secrets/ Adobe Community/Google etc) to download this to add to indesign so I can read different layers in pdf. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi Sonja,

just to make that clear: The script is part of a PDF you can download from abracadabrapdf.net.

Download the PDF and open PDFoptions-editor.pdf with Acrobat Reader, see into the bookmarks and click Extract PDFoptions editor like that ( from my German Acrobat Reader ) :

Very handy script for something that should be built-in to InDesign. However, it seems to cause InDesign to randomly crash more frequently with the latest versions of InDesign.

Came here to say the same, please Adobe Implement easy little things this that would surely take very limited time for you to code, I'd much rather see useful tools like this than the flashy/useless 'text to Image' a.i. pop up just added to indesign.

It’s unlikely anyone at Adobe will see your request here, use the feature request page:

https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601021-adobe-indesign-feature-requests

In general if something can be easily scripted or added via a plugin, it will not get added to the application—unless your request gets a lot of votes.
