This is getting really frustrating. I dont want photoshop to be my default app to open jpgs in explorer. However this association needs to be made for it to reliably appear in indesign. There must be a way of making this more reliable?

Yeah sure I can go into explorer open a jpg with photoshop (Which by thew way appears way dow the open with menu in explorer) then it shows in indesign, but why should I have to keep doing this, why does it not remember?

The Edit With uses the computers File Association.

If you want to edit images in InDesign with Photoshop - that would mean it's the default for the computer.

If you change the File Association on the computer to open jpegs with something else - then that will be what InDesign will use.
