Place multiple images in frame, keep size and location

Community Beginner ,

I used to be able to place multiple images in pre-made image frames and keep the original location and scaling, but scince a couple of updates ago, the new image just reverts to 100%, aligne to middle of frame.

Say I have a frame with a template image, on multiple pages. I used to be able to select multiple images and when I option-clicked the template frame, it would automatically scale and position the new image in place.

Has the key combination changed, or am I misremembering it?

Any help is appreciated.

Hi @Evert K,

Thanks for reaching out! That does sound frustrating. Just to better understand what's happening on your end, could you please confirm which version of InDesign and macOS you're currently using?

Also, if possible, could you share a short screen recording showing your current workflow and what you're seeing when placing the images?

Looking forward to your reply!

Abhishek

Just hold down ALT (PC) and click content of frame. Your new image should keep positioning and scaling according to the previous placed image.

Maybe theres a object-style or direct changes made to this (Rahmeneinpassungsoptionen/content fitting) interferring.

An Object Style could contain the positioning information for your graphic frames. Are you using an Object Style?
