Placing jpeg

I tried many times but was not able to insert a specific jpeg file into InDesign. Other files worked. I tried saving as PDF and jpg but still don't see anything other than a white box.

Open the problematic file in Photoshop, save it with a new name and try this new file.

The file may be corruplt. Re-saving as Willi suggested might work.
