Print issue: box around transparent images

I'm new to Indesign and seem to have a problem when printing my design (on a normal home printer).
My transparent images have a box around them when I print my PDF. This doesn't show on the screen.
I already converted my images from png to psd, but the problem still occurs.

When I upload my Indesign pdf to Photoshop, and save it as a Photoshop pdf, the boxes are gone.
But I'm sure there should be another solution.

Does your printer (through print settings) have the option to "print as image"?

Hi, this didn't work, unfortunately. Maybe because I can't select CMYK before printing.
I always test print on a normal printer at the office, the design however will be sent to a professional printing service, but I want to be sure those boxes don't appear when printing a large amount..

This actually helped!
But I will send my design to a professional printing service as well, so I want to be sure this problem doesn't show on the final product.
