I need to make a form for my client to print, but it needs a bleed. How do I do this? If the answer is a workaround, Adobe should really either add including fillable fields to the print pdf dialogue or crop and bleed to the interactive dialogue.

Thanks

You can submit feature requests here

https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601021-adobe-indesign-feature-requests

You can export to pdf with crops and bleed and add the interactive fields in acrobat.

Or you could add the bleed to the size of your page, export to PDF (Interactive) and add  new values for trim- and bleed boxes in Acrobat Pro. ( Not tested; just an idea… )

NOTE:

[1] The colors of a functional form field will always be in RGB.

[2] An existing form field on the page is not allowed with the PDF/X standard for printing.

[3] To offset print a functional filled out form field it must be flattened in Acrobat Pro.

I was thinking afterwards of doing something similar.

  1. Make a new layer bottom most
  2. Draw a rectangle in the size of the page
  3. Keep it selected and run the script to add marks
  4. Take the page tool, hold down the alt key and drag the handle to increase the page size so far until the marks are included.
