Windows 10/64 up to date / InD 16.2.1 / Core i7@3.5 / 16g RAM
I am getting a "1 problem (1 failure) was found with a background task:" error, see attachment.
First I deleted preferences and the problem as still there. Then I tried to package and got a failure on that due to not being able to create a PDF, and lastly exported as IDML and re-opened, none of which worked.
I will appreciate any help I can get to resolve this issue.
Thanks to those who know more than me,
Joe

I am replying to myself with additional information. To be able to send something to my client, I attempted to export the file as a png and jpg and got blank files in both cases.
Thanks,
Joe

Can you save the file as a .pdf without a problem? If so can you save as .pdf then save as a jpeg or png in acrobat or photoshop?

Jump,
I can't find an option to save as pdf in InDesign. Since I posted, I selected and copied everything on the screen and attempted to paste it into Illustrator and got an error "Failed to export the pdf file." It looks like this file may be hopelessly corrupted as I have opened and exported other InD files from the same disk with no problem.
TNX,
Joe

Jump, I think I have found the culprit. This file is an update of a very old InD project, so I created a blank file and started dragging components in an exporting until I got the error. All was well until I dragged an old table and bingo, the error popped up when I exported. I removed the table from the original and attempted the export and it worked. I'll recreate the table in the current version and report back.
TNX,
Joe

You can find the .pdf under file>Adobe pdf preset>choose the quality you wish.
or you can do File> package and it will ask you about a pdf when saving. It will also tell you any items that might be causing you an issue in the file when you choose package.
